LA COLLINA BLU

logo la collina blu

The name La Collina Blu is a tribute to the beautiful blue light that envelops our Tuscan hill just before sunset. But it is also a nod to Blue Hill, the complex suburb north of Stockholm where I grew up.

There, children often start with very little, but with a bit of love and trust, they are capable of giving back far more than one could ever imagine — just like olive trees.

The label was created by Francesco Giani, an artist and friend, and it recalls the thirteen-storey buildings and their thousands of windows in Blue Hill — buildings constructed in the 1960s to house the first immigrants arriving in Sweden

In 2020, Åsa, a Swedish wine journalist who has made Italy her home since 2001, began La Collina Blu

a small, artisanal project dedicated to producing extra virgin olive oil with care and respect.

Guided by a deep connection to the land, La Collina Blu allows organically grown olives to reveal their true character naturally, without interference. It’s a humble way to honor a thousand-year-old tradition and share the simple, genuine flavors of the Italian countryside.

Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Lively and aromatic, this small-batch oil is packed with freshness. Hints of green almond, wild herbs, and a soft pepper finish create a balanced profile that speaks of care, craft, and a strong sense of place

Rich in polyphenols and vitamin E—powerful natural antioxidants—this oil helps combat oxidative stress and cellular aging. Its high content of monounsaturated fatty acids, such as oleic acid, supports cardiovascular health by lowering LDL cholesterol and increasing HDL.

More than just a food, this olive oil is a cornerstone of the Mediterranean diet and a way of life—one that celebrates simplicity, balance, and the pleasures of eating well in harmony with nature.
